Gila River Hotels & Casinos - Wild Horse Pass Customers Reviews
Ben Folds has some new toys, and we loved it!
We saw Ben Folds at the National on May 2, and it was incredible. When he came onstage and started into "So There", it was ethereal and I just couldn't stop grinning. The new stuff sounds really fantastic and I cannot wait for the album to drop (comes out on my birthday!). He brings out the full potential of yMusic, never relegating them to the background. They mesh so well with him, though they seemed a little embarrassed by the way he focused in on each member of the group. (Especially "Gaaaabe", the ladies man and "Hideaki, Bad Mother*#&#"!) Ah well, that's Ben!
By the way, I think we ran into the folks who left early and wrote the bad review a few pages back at a bar after the show. They were complaining about how Ben played mainly new stuff. My wife and I were astounded anyone could've left that show. The new stuff is a natural extension of the old stuff. Yes, it has new elements, but it's still very much Ben, and still very much awesome!
